From pilots to large scale deployments
Partnering with Vopak allows you to conduct pilot programs and implement large-scale operations across our terminals. For example, our Penjuru terminal has facilitated the majority of biofuel bunkering trials in Singapore to support the maritime sector for cleaner fuel alternatives. Additionally, our Sebarok terminal is strategically positioned to support both western and eastern bunkering anchorages and will transit into a multi-fuel bunkering hub for sustainable maritime fuels such as ammonia, biofuel and methanol.
Expertise in handling hydrogen derivatives such as ammonia
Our expertise and experience in handling ammonia and methanol makes us an ideal partner for your energy transition needs. Hydrogen derivatives, like ammonia and methanol, will play a key role in the energy transition for bunkering and power generation necessities. At our facility in Banyan, located on Jurong Island, we have over 80 experts focusing on the safe handling of ammonia for about a decade. Additionally, our Banyan terminal provides ammonia truck loading and can support small-scale delivery for ammonia-related trials, including power generation, ammonia cracking, or bunkering.
Leverage existing infrastructure assets
Vopak's Banyan and Sakra terminals, situated on Jurong Island, are an integral part of several supply chains that connect various industrial facilities through pipelines. With existing jetties, pipelines, and tanks located near the waterfront, we are well-equipped to assist you in developing new supply chains for cleaner feedstock and low-carbon alternatives, as well as supporting decarbonization efforts. We can effectively repurpose and optimize our existing infrastructure to facilitate your energy transition aspirations.
Safety leadership
At Vopak, safety is our first priority. We are committed to promoting the transition to sustainable and circular products in the future, while also reducing our own environmental impact. Our terminals comply with stringent international and environmental standards, including certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, and safety audits such as the Safety Management System - MOM/NEA, Vopak Terminal Health Assessment (THA), and International Ship & Port Security (ISPS).
Global network access: Partnerships, tech, and capabilities
With our widespread network of terminals across multiple countries, along with multiple joint venture partners, customers can count on our global network of partnerships with cutting-edge energy transition technology companies and expertise to support the development of low-carbon infrastructure supply chains. Furthermore, our global network offers potential opportunities for building up the export value chain to regional carbon sinks.
