Vopak Energy Park Antwerp

Vopak acquired a former refinery site on May 10th, 2023, gaining access to a strategic concession in the northern Antwerp port area. We are discussing the development of a new green energy hub with the Port of Antwerp Bruges. The site spans approximately 105 hectares and has deep-sea, river, road, and rail access, as well as pipeline connections to Northwest Europe for propylene, ethylene, CO2, and hydrogen transport. Market Consultation of Interest for ammonia (closed)

To gauge market interest and understand customer demand, Vopak conducted a Market Consultation for Interest (MCI) for ammonia storage at Vopak Energy Park Antwerp. This initiative began on October 24th, and ended on November 29th, 2024 at 4 PM (CET). 

The objective of this MCI is to understand interest in the project through gaining insights into the ambitions and strategies of interested parties regarding their energy and feedstock supply transition paths.

On 30 September 2024 A.P. Moller Holding announced its intention to establish its first fossil-free plastics production plant (Vioneo) to be developed within the Vopak Energy Park Antwerp.
